Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct with 45 minutes focused on Switch and 3ds announced for September 13

I'm intrigued (50 minutes!), but I'm not sure I want to get up early in the morning for it.

The picture says the next few months though, where do you see it say before the end of this year?

I was going off memory when I wrote the above. Doesn't make much of a difference.

Actually make difference, "next few months" can be easily mean Q1 2018 also, while "before the end of this year" means exactly that. But again, Nintendo could said "titles that are releasing before the end of this year" and again show some 2018. titles. In any case I definitely expecting some 2018. titles to be shown.

I'm guessing it will be 20+ minutes of Odyssey, then they will talk 23 minutes about Switch indies even though they just had a presentation about that, followed by 1-minute Samus Returns trailer and finally, in the last minute, they will give us an invitation to watch yet another livestream of Xenoblade 2, where they still won't say crap about the release date.

Also, Xenoblade 2's release date will be announced in December 9, one day after its release.

Have to put low standards so the presentation doesn't end up in a huge disappointment.

We had Indie Direct in less than two weeks ago, so hardly we will see any Indie game again in Direct just two weeks later.

Its hard to predict what new Nintendo will announce or show, of course they will show already announced games that will be released in next few months and gave us release dates, but I also expecting some interesting 3rd party port announcements or first showings. I definitely do not expecting any Smash Bros. announcement, or any Indies showing.

Remember this is September Direct, and we usually have later November Direct that usually just before holiday season, so we will probably have another one in just 2 months.

Thanks for the times op ! Who is going to be dead tired at work the following day ? Well, we are kind of used to it...

Meaty direct, this is nice. I want a Xenoblade 2 release date (I don't care if it is delayed). More details about RPGs we know about would be nice (Octopath Travelers, Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem Switch...)

The 5 minutes more on Japanese direct is interesting ! Dragon Quest XI ? Senran Kagura ?

Anyway, hype !

I wonder what happened with Pikmin 4

Hope for some MP4 Switch info.!

Hoping we get a release date for that Medieval Advance Wars clone.

Ugh. It's showing at 1AM here.

Well, ever since Nintendo decided to not attend the TGS, they usually held a conference or some sort of event prior to that, to talk about their upcomg releases. Looks like this year it will be a pretty meaty Direct.

I'll watch it the next day.
