Many thanks man, I didnt know it. Thats some great news since Im thinking about getting the switch.

I dont know if it is worth it to bethesda since it seems doom sold very poorly on switch...

It's going to be interesting to see Bethesda's support of the system from here on out. Skyrim was probably a cheap port and it will reach a million sold without too much problem, ans it will sell even better when the price of the game becomes the same as the other versions (the game gets frequently discounted on PC and the other consoles). Doom has not been as successful, and that is a shame considering the porting team probably spent quite a lot of time on that version, but considering Doom hasn't sold that well on the other consoles, I guess they'll be fine. Wolfensteing TNC worries me, because it doesn't even have a clear release date, and it will probably have the same performance problems as the Doom port did. I guess that, moving forward, we might get a port of the inevitable Fallout 3/New Vegas HD remasters, and maybe a late port of that Quake Champions game. I doubt we'll get TES VI or something like that.

Wolfenstein's issue is going to be that it isn't nearly as acclaimed as Doom and especially not Skyrim.  So it will be a tougher sell.  A Fallout 3/NV remaster would be a good option.  But on a technical level, I could absolutely see Fallout 4 on the Switch as well.  As for TES VI, well that depends on what engine they use, how much more demanding it is, etc etc.  Bethesda Game Studios hasn't exactly pursued being on the cutting edge.  It's entirely possible TES VI will be possible on the Switch.

I can see Wolfenstein selling well if it doesn't launch at full price. But if they released Skyrim at full price at launched, they'll do the same with this.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I mean, that's a given.  That's just how it works with ports.  Unless they come years and years late, they launch at full price when they arrive.  Less a Switch thing, more just a that's the way it's always been thing.  They need to pick the launch window carefully honestly.  Avoid competition with heavy hitters.  Maybe August, like what was done with Mario+Rabbids.

I can definitely see wolfenstein being a risk because of popularity and potential sales.  if they do as good a job on it as doom, I'm not so worried on a technical level.  I thoroughly enjoyed Doom start to finish.  ran great on hurt me plenty and I thought it looked great as well, for what little time in the game I had the option to look around.  it's too action packed to be over analyzing polygons.  it deserves to have legs and hit respectable sales.  skyrim has me hook, line and sinker atm.  im assuming it's sales will help perpetuate future releases from Bethesda.

Another week to compare the sales.

Skyrim reached FIFA after six weeks. Will the difference keep growing or will FIFA recover the lead eventually?

I thought that 'till the end of the year Skyrim would already be ahead, but surprisingly Fifa is putting up a fight!

Another week, another update.

FIFA is barely just ahead. It slightly improve its lead, how will the end of the Holidays affect them both?
