Ps4 and PC combo is the way to go. If you can splouge on a switch aswell, then you will only be missing 1-2 exclusives per year from MS.

You'll miss zero exclusives, as MS has said repeatedly that there won't be any (at least, none made by them).

That would be great, then you wouldn't have to tell us 10 more years how you are an Xbox gamer which like nobody seemed to believe on VGC the last ten years.

Pssshhh, I remember the days when he was a strict 360 defenseman. * Sorry S.T.A.G.E., had to do it!

Regardless, play nice :)

As you all know the Xbox play anywhere initiative is growing. I think I've reached my limit. The PC is starting to become a more attractive option. Halo makes the jump then so will I. I've owned every Xbox, but if this Xbox play anywhere thing is set in stone they might have just made me a PC gamer again. Gears is my favorite Xbox franchise and halo was all that was left. I think I've hit my limit. I'll still support those two Xbox games but just from another platform. To give a little bit of history in sold my GameCube when I was younger to buy my first Xbox. Since then I hadn't owned a nintnedo console. Fast forward to today the switch is my secondary console and my Xbox is pretty much just my free games box.yeah... this would be the last straw.

I've never really understood that line of thinking to be honest... The thing is, if you have the money the PC will obviously be the more attractive option, but most aren't looking to spend that much.

The truth is, if I didn't have friends who were predominantly console gamers I probably wouldn't bother with the PS4 (the one we went with) or the Xbox1 (Nintendo still has too many exclusives that I want to ignore them), as the PC receives the vast majority of games that are released on consoles, and outside of a few garbage ports they generally feature the best experience as well, with better graphics and access to community-created mods. I can't see a time where my friends will ever be interested enough to drop that much money on an enthusiast-caliber-PC.

Honestly, if that happened that would essentially be Microsoft conceding defeat in the console market and you may very well see the death of the Xbox brand shortly after I feel. If the priamry reason to buy the machine can be had elsewhere then what's the point of having the machine anyway?

Doubt they would actually do that now though, I know that first two were released on the PC but that was back when their Xbox was getting routinely trounced and they just wanted to expose as many people as possible to Halo, since 3 they have been console exclusive and wisely so if Microsoft wants to continue shipping the Xbox brand, that said even though they have been decently reviewed and the sales have been decent the last few entries in the Halo franchise under 343 haven't exactly lit up the Xbox brand as the series seemed to under Bungie.

Playstation gaming for 18 years this 2012

I feel like the majority of PC-Only gamers are people who got a bad console experience from MS and now think that all consoles are that way.

LOL...No worries. Theres a bigger picture here. I dont think he realizes that Xbox no longer has anything to do with a console. Thats the problem. Plus...if I switch to PC i dont have to pay for live anymore.

I'm not super confident that Halo 6 is going to be that good...so I don't know if I'd change platforms just yet.

Halo and Gears is all Microsoft has and they have not has a compelling new IP since 2006 so....thats eleven years. Gears has already jumped ship to PC with higher resolution in general.  They cant replace a heavy hitter without scouting out a dev who is already in development and bag their titles exclusivity. Look at how they got Halo and Gears. They scouted out devs mid development. The plan that Microsoft failed to unfold last gen with Windows live resurfaced again with Windows 10 Xbox and instead of Just halo coming over to PC they threw all of the major first party on the ship.

ITS SO FUNNY because think about it, how many PC gamers would NOT own a ps4 if the ps4 games where also on PC, thats right a TON of them.

Personally I like collecting physical discs, thats why I own most consoles but for many of the people who I game with on PC they own a PS4 for the exclusives.

The honest truth is PC gaming is always better and its great that xbox games are coming to pc because now people get the freedom to play them the way they want instead of a company designing a box they like or don't like and lock the games behind that box.

Cheaper games. Free online. Custom hardware. Upgrade whenever you want. Best backwards compatability. Play with whichever controller you like best.

Yes. PC GAMES IS AMAZING you should switch

This pulled mat deh heart strings. Thank you Microsoft for making it so easy to return home. :)

Come back to PC, i did.
Believe i only ever owned five games for the PS4, never played. I tried, but my gaming history is pretty much PC, PC and PC.

I'll be PC, PS4 and Nintendo. Most reliable platforms for constant games.

Edit: I really don't mind that everything on Xbox One is also on PC. It was similar in the OG Xbox days. Some of my favorite Xbox games were Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Far Cry Instincts (a modified port of Far Cry), KOTOR, Morrowind, etc. It was just hassle-free and convenient to play the games on the couch, even if they were available elsewhere.

The problem now is that these PC games are also on PlayStation, and those that aren't — like Halo 6   probably won't be very good. So, as a console gamer, I have fewer and fewer reasons to invest in Xbox.

Also... the original Xbox was more powerful than PCs when it came out. Discounting the mouse advantage, was literally the best place to play those games.
