Forums - Sony Discussion - Ni No Kuni II delayed!!

Fine with me. I'll have plenty to play during the holiday season anyway with hopefully XC2 and Mario Odyssey alone. But this is the Japanese release date though right? So that means the US/UK releases will be pushed back even further?

Possibly US/UK since they said it was just delayed a few months and the US/UK original release date was November 10th.

If i recall correctly i think the first game came out in january aswell.

Maybe they felt more confotable with that window.

Though this fall doesn't have exactly an impressive line-up. Just the usual suspects and mario.

Not releasing during the holidays means this exclusive no longer counts :(

Seriously though releasing around the holiday block Busters is like swimming in a shark tank. Probably better off in January when there's less big competing titles. And the extra time should ensure a polished game.

I must say though, level 5 been delaying their games like crazy. Especially their mobile output.

Booooooo.

My gf will be pissed.

Cool, start off 2018 strong.

That's a smart mave on their part, since there is a bit more time to Polish up up the game, and taking it out of the holiday gives the game much more breathing room and more chance to succeed.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

As another user once said, I don't see why people say it's a good thing because they have a huge backlog. They can always buy it later. And! It will be cheaper.

Anyway, I never minded delays and never will.

I am perfectly fine with this news as I didn't know it was supposed to come earlier anyway. I thought it was still a long while away. I'm good with the new release date.

As incredible as the PS4 release schedule has become of late, it just wouldn't be proper if at least one of the holiday releases didn't slip into 2018. It's tradition, at this point :)
