"experience with tablets and phones"..... duh
Why on earth someone would compare a videogame console with a tablet or a phone?

Anyway... personal opinions. I´m really curious about the reaction of this community users that are gettin one at launch

Because they are the same format and both play games?

Do they have controllers and physical media games?

Controllers? yep, LOADS, you can even use Dualshock, 3, 4, Xbox one controller, Xbox 360 controller, Wii remote, and some others too.

As for physical games?, why is that a requirement, are you calling the PSP GO, "not a console" because it was digital-only? because if so, that's laughable.  Physical games don't make something a console, just like e-shop/psn/xbl games don't make a console not-a-console.

Lets just cut to the chase and say good games.  Are there good smartphone/tablet games?  I'm sure but most of them are shit and Nintendo B teams can make way better games than most studios like Rovio, King, or any other one hit developer on android/ios.

So android iOS good vs shit ratio is about the same as the wii then? Still, smartphones and tablets ARE perfectly viable gaming devices, I didn't see people saying otherwise when celebrating the success of Pokémon go and Mario run.

I don't think that the analog sticks are bad. I like them, but then again, I play with my 3ds with the circle pad alot.

Why buy consoles at launch but not games to go with them?
Do you think they will be impossible to get by the time there is an actual game you want to play?

While I can see "buy it at $300 now vs buy it at $300 later" I think "buy it at $300 vs buy it at $250 later" a little weird.

I'm expecting a discount or a bundle by the end of the year.

I don't have a game with my system. :'(

I make enough in 3 hours of work to buy one, there's little reason not to?

besides, history has often shown, revisions of hardware generally substitute components for cheaper alternatives and lower quality, (psp's screen got worse with every new version, vitas oled was better than the slims, etc.

I guess I am just frugal that way. I have a large bank account but I still get picky about the difference $50 makes. Why buy at $300 when I know I won't use it until much later, at which point it will cost $250.

That lost $50 from it just sitting around annoys me. If I were going to use it I would have no problem with it. Yet I know I won't use it, so I would just be spending money I don't need to spend.

To each their own, but I don't think saving $50 by waiting 6-8 months is worthwhile, that's 30 minutes of work , or a 6-8 month wait? No thanks, and besides, where do you draw the line? If you don't buy one at all you'll be able to pick one up for $70 in 10 years time and save yourself $230, and there will be hundreds of games then too.

Ok I will ask the same question to you then.

Did you buy it now at full price, because you think it will be impossible later to get it when either

A) there is a game you want to get it with or

B) When it price drops/bundles?

I rather buy it at $250/bundled than $300. But If i'm going to buy it at $300 I may as well get it day one instead of risking not getting it in a year.

Actually I did not get it or buy it with my own money. I got the money from my mom because of my good grades in school and for an early birthday gift. The only place where I could have a chance at buying a switch is at walmart  is because:

a) I was told by an employee that walmart could have a few preorders that were canceled.

b) It would probably be the last place that people would be looking for left over switches.

My Walmart didn't have a midnight launch and it only opens at 6am .Mom couldn't go because she had a meeting at 7am. So my dad went at 8am because he refused to get up at 6am. My dad just went in told the employee of the switch (a neon at that)bought it for $330 (including tax) with no one waiting for a switch. After I got home I was a proud neon switch owner. I don't have a warrenty but I will have that and some other things tommorrow.

I love my parents. :D

The reason I didn't buy a PS VIta was because of the analog thumb sticks. So if the Switch is any thing like those I will wait to see if Nintendo bring out different joy-cons with circle pads instead or a home console Switch version with a full sized conroller.
