Expensive DLC considering it's all available in-game anyways. Similar DLC in other games on digital platforms from Sony and Microsoft goes for much cheaper for the same level of sparse offerings.

I've already resolved not to buy any game that gets serious content locked behind amiibos anyways. They are a cancerous physical DLC method that can go straight to hell.

I personally want the figurines screw the content.  But if you aren't into collectibles I can see your viewpoint.

I think this is a good way to use the Amiibo. A little extra incentive but nothing substantial that you can't unlock in game through regular play. I have no issues with it.

Doesn't help that the BotW Amiibos cost a lot more than normal Amiibos

The article says those items can be obtained through normal gameplay so no problem.
