As far as I recall the issues were with the frame pacing, not necessarily with the rate per second. Though I have to admit I didn't feel that on pro mode

Yeah i didn't experience the frame pacing issues on the pro, maybe it was exclusively on the vanilla ps4

There is only frame pacing issues on the Pro if running 4K. 1080p as it stands now is a locked 30fps with no frame pacing issues.
