Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo Switch’s Bundled Joy-Con Grip Won’t Charge the Controllers

Just lock if anyone has made the thread

It looks like the Joycon Grip that bundled on the Switch (299USD prices) will not able to charge the Joycon. Apparently they are different entities. They have one with charging capabilities but it's not the one that included in the Switch, both have different name.

Joycon batteries life will take around  20 hours more or less.

When each joy-con last 20 hours, that is a non-issue.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I thought that was obvious. They charge when they're in the dock, don't they? Unless you're planning to play >20 hours that should do it.

They have one that charge while on the grip mode's. But it's not included, the Joy grip that included is just piece of plastic.

That's what I understood, not sure why the reason of the thread honestly, they can be charged by just being attached while the console is docked or connected with the charger.

Yep, that's what I thought... I still it's a non-issue because of the 20 hours long battery of the Joycon.

I guess it's not a big concern,  anyone who finish playing  games will just put them back on The Switch main hardware. But i guess it would have been better to have along the bundled, and you dont have to put it back on. and also  not that expensive to have it either. And also from here we can see how much the real price of Switch.

But i suspect they will fix this on next literation or next bundled, I hope so.

It's  not a big deal, but also it's not a big deal as well to have it on the bundle.

Yes.But thats the situation that it would be a nice bonus, but totally unnecessary.

What does the joy-con pack come with? Any grip? Or just the 2 controllers?
