It was kinda funny when some people in here was baited into thinking that Sony was throwing a jab at Microsoft since it's a pretty clear reference to Drakengard if you studied the history behind the Nier franchise ...

It IS a Drakengard reference. But it's funny to watch people get sandy about it anyway. 

Even though the NEIR series has references to an actual being called "The Dragon", let's just assume this had nothing to do with that.

So Sony just had this marketing stored up in the back ready to go because ...they knew for sure that Scalebound would be cancelled somehow? Lol they aren't going to market it like that in just over a day of news...and on top of that they wouldn't diss another Platinum game.
