So if it's that close between them then WW surely it goes to TLG? Japan alone will give TLG a sizable boost over it. Then add in all the very dominant EU countries and ROTW excluding USA.

Last Guardian launching on Friday and still making it in to the top 10 is very impressive, nearly 100 percent sure that Last Guardian would have been higher than Dead Rising 4 which had 3 days advantage. But I guess people will ignore release dates and say 1 bombed and not the other

This faulty narrative is still alive?

Friday is the standard release day in the UK. So, no releasing on the same day the vast majority of games release on and making it in to the top 10 is not impressive, it`s expected.

The 3 day `advantage` for Dead Rising 4 makes no real difference. The vast majority of 1st week sales will be on day 1. Given 80% or so drops are fairly common DR4 probably only gained about 10% sales for it`s first week than it normally would have had.

FFXV sold at most 135k. Dropped by 75% meaning sales this week were at most 34k. So that would mean Dead Rising 4`s probably 10% increase from releasing early would have been at most 3.4k copies, probably more like 2k though. 2 places (in the top 10) of the sales chart having a difference of more than 2k (or even the maximum of 3.4k) certainly seems very possible to me.

Oh and when it comes to things `bombing` that`s always relative to expectations and only one of those 2 games was hyped up for 10 years prior to release...

Why?
