Of course, unless you promise them that they can feed and support their family and buy things for a comfortable and good life without ever seeing cash then they'd be happy and need no money.But that will never happen and without money, it's really difficult to buy a house, buy food and hell even water, electricity and gas. So unless you want your teachers to be homeless and begging for food while not at work looking like Buddha or gandhi after a hunger strike, you should be paying them decently well. Make them well qualified and with more education and expertise, but pay them for their hard work and value cause without them there would be no doctors lawyers engineers even army men or a lot of others like scientists.
