Well, if the Shield TV with a Tegra X1 can do it with a firmware update, then I'm sure the Switch will be able to do it too, and also 4k video playback, at least the hardware can do it lol.

I am not sure about HDR support but there is definitely chance for 4k support for media in dock mode of course.
