The role reversal keeps going this gen, ps4 secret sauce!

Well, one thing you can hang your hat on, there sure as heck isn't going to be a sales reversal.

But but it already happened with the slim :p
The Xbox One had a 71 per cent share of the hardware market for the week ending September 24th

Next week we'll be back to secret NX sauces, secrect boxes, smuggled out line drawings :)

PS4 pro day 1 patch will also increase clock speed to 5.5tf!

Forgive me due to lack of technology and internet due to weather knocking out all technology in my state for several days... Do you have a reliable source with that information?

And since when have we degraded to the point of using flops as a measurement for clockspeed? Like seriously?
Extrapolate the real clocks. It's not hard. It's Shaders * 2 * Clockrate. Go.

Link http://bfy.tw/7xlY
5.5tf / (1152*2) = 2.38 ghz! That's a toasty gpu.
And yes I'm not serious

Less compare apples with apples.  Your average consumer who doesn't have a high end pc or Vive or psvr or ps4 pro is better off going with psvr.

Much cheaper. And if they're doing it for games psvr has a really good amount of VR titles coming. Fair play to Sony making it really affordable because it works well with a regular ps4 too.  So much more appealing to your average consumer than building a high end pc then forking out another fortune on the pc.

What if money isnt an option and a person might think that the extra 300 to 400 euro it will cost them to get a PC+Vive is worth it for the better experience?.

What if time is an option and a person might not want to bother with setting up vive and wants to use VR in different rooms by simply moving the console and one easy to place camera. You can buy a psvr bundle and start gaming in 5 minutes vs research what you need in a PC, upgrade/build/order it and research how to setup Vive properly.

PSVR is for the mainstream. For those who don't bother buying blu-rays and go for the convenience of streaming instead of spending 30 seconds more inserting a disc for much better quality.

When Playstation has a secret sauce, everyone's curious. When the xbox has a secret sauce, everyone is skeptical.

Welcome to the internet.

well, I, for one, mocked the idea of 'secret sauce' on the X1 and find the idea of 'secret sauce' on the PS4Pro just as stupid.

so hey... I guess that's a very generous 'everyone'

hardware is hardware, there are no secrets especially when we are talking of known architectures. having said that, I'm sure the Pro will be extremely beneficial to VR, and that's exactly why I'm buying it day 1.

And ps4 pro will be the ultimate platform for VR gaming too.  Very hyped about this.

By what standards?

specs for the platform:

PC > PS4 Pro
and
Xbox Scorpio > PS4 Pro

specs for the VR headset:

Rift > PSVR
and
Vive > PSVR

I think the PS4 Pro is a poor man's VR experience.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

The Scorpio doesn't exist.

The PS5 Exists.

Then more power too them.  I'm talking about the average consumer which money is a big factor to.  There's a reason sales on oculos and Vive have been so low.

That's a very nice train of thought, now let's see if I can derail it somehow...

Ready?

Here we go:

Platform exclusive games

How's the math now?

I'm sad to say that I agree; it's just not there yet. This is still like using Virtual Boy compared to using a holodeck.

I'll consider VR more than a fad if we come to something like the nerve gear from Sword Art Online.
