Forums - Gaming Discussion - [Hearthstone] Blizzard wins at nerfing!

Win?

Great Nerfs 2 28.57%

Greatest Nerfs 0 0%

RIP OTK Warrior 5 71.43%

Total:7

Some of you may have already heard, Blizzard is gonna nerf some cards in the upcoming patch.

http://eu.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/20303031/upcoming-balance-changes-update-613-28-09-2016

Highlights include:

Yogg will now stop casting if it is removed from the field, silenced or transformed.

I think the nerfs are basically perfect. Though Execute is still too cheap for my taste, should be at least 3 Mana.

Not even half an hour and gone from the Hot Topics. This site is great.

I would make a D.Va "Nerf this" joke, but I don't play neither HearthStone nor Overwatch :P

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It is a free CCG that came out 2 years ago. Did you actually expect this to get 100+ posts?

Charge is the only interesting change imo. They made it less, but also do less. Removing the +2 is one thing, but not being able to attack the hero is another. I think that is one step too far.

In case you haven't been following, Hearthstone is actually a pretty big deal in the gaming world. It is quite strange that it doesn't get discussed much on these forums, but I suspect that's because the game is not on consoles.

I love the change to Charge. That card is the reason the horrible non-interactive combo warrior existed and this will surely be the death of that version. No more unfair OTK.

The other changes seem nice too. Execute nerf was long overdue in my opinion.

Too bad there's no change to the 4 mana 7/7 though... Also, screw N'Zoth.

Warrior and Shaman meta since I quit? That's too bad, when I quit it was only Paladin and Mage.

I still don't think I will come back considering the old cards cannot be used anymore.

Charge went from being 0 mana in Alpha/Beta, to 3 mana +2 ATT, to this.. xD

You can still play with the older sets, just not in standard. The old format still exists, just under the 'Wild' name.

I stopped playing hearthstone when it became appearant to me that I was neither a good enough player, nor had enough free time to play it for free. And the recent (well....this year at least...) changes to constructed play, making most of the cards I did have, enjoyed plying and build my decks around, obsolete did not help.
I don't really have enough time to stay on top of the meta.

It's not about being popular, it's about being seen at all. 5 answer posts are still better than nothing but you can't even have that if the thread basically vanishes from existance after only 20 minutes.

Seriously this forum is the shittiest I have ever seen and the only one who does not feature the most basic functions every other forum has. A forum that actively discourages making threads if they do not have a clickbait title.

4/7/7 is alright. Maybe they could nerf it to a 5/8/8 but it's not even an auto include in all Aggro Shaman decks anymore.

What's your problem with N'Zoth? I think it's fairly alright. I only see it problematic in N'Zoth Rogue but even there it's not that much of a problem due to the general weakness of Rougue itself.
