But in most small to medium towns the buses drive only every 1 or 2 hours (and they aren't driving in the evening or night at all) and they don't drive directly to your destination, so you waste a lot more time using public transport and are less flexible. You can also transport much more when you go shopping, so it is much more convenient. |
I live in Berlin and the next train station is 2 min away and trains go every 5 min in the morning. Even from the town border I only need 30 min to the inner city.
So yeah, getting a car is probably the worst waste of money for me.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
