If I were the president of Nintendo I would:

1) Release Wii U version of Zelda BotW this holiday season and cancel the NX version, so Wii U would have an exclusive Zelda.
2) Fire whoever came up with the Wii U gamepad, and everyone who green-lighted it.

I would ensure that NX would sell like crack by making sure Gamefreak makes a HD Pokemon MMO.

WHATEVER I WANTED? I mean if we disregard financials.

1)Develop for PC/Consoles, It's not fair for Nintendo fans to pay $300 for 2-5 games a year for 1st/2nd party games and nothing else
2)Expand the Virtual Console (Put emulated games on iOS, PC, ect.)
3)Get rid of region lock
4)Executive Action 1: Another Advance Wars game
5)Make the successor to the 3DS have a great VC and 1st/3rd Party lineup

6)3DS successor has to have better hardware than the Vita bare Minimum.

As for what we know right now, the current president seems to be doing a good job.

I would:

Ease into mobile. It's too up and down to be your bread and butter.

Hire someone with extensive industry contacts to lead developer/publisher relations in the west.

Open a new developmental/publishing arm aimed at an older demographic. It would be wholly owned by Nintendo but with a separate branding so there would be no confusion with parents. Think Miramax when it was owned by Disney.

Hire a new "face" of the company. Make them Vice President of Public Relations and have them be as "gamer friendly" as possible.

Have my new consoles play everything under the sun. Browser games, mobile games, handheld games, MMOs, and F2P titles. Handheld and home console would share as much as is feasible.

Build an in-house team with the task of analyzing everything that is popular or well-received in the industry. They would stay on top of all trends and propose new features and areas of potential growth.

Build an open-air hot springs connected to headquarters.

Make 100 variants of the Waluigi amiibo.

SPD 2, 3, 4: Help out on Xenoblade HD

IS: New Advance War, with some monitoring Fire Emblem, and make Paper Mario great again.

Monolith Soft (Tokyo): Xenoblade X2, with a few monitoring progress of a Xenoblade anime and a HD remake.

Monolith Soft (Kyoto): assistance on Pokemon

Nd-Cube: bring Mario Party back to its roots

NST: a sports related game like Wave Race to demonstrate the NX's power

Retro Studio: New IP

HAL: smaller IP like Boxboy

Next Level Games: Luigi's Mansion 3

AlphaDream: New IP (RPG)

Camelot: Golden Sun

Game Freak: the Pokemon equivalent of BotW for Zelda - rethink the conventions of Pokemon

3) More third party collaborations, outsource Metroid (or have Sakurai do it)

4) Zelda animated film

5) a 28 episode Xenoblade anime by Production I.G. or Ufotable

6) Make NX more powerful than PS4, but below Neo

7) Make a studio for Sakurai - have him do whatever he wants

8) Build closer relationship with Platinum - a action base Sheik game maybe?

9) Better PR, start creating a global face (like Iwata) for Nintendo

Take all the Pokemon Go money and run away.
