F2P games on PS4 have always been actual F2P. Blacklight Retribution, Loadout and Warframe are all F2P and do not require PS+ to play.

This PS+ thing might be early access.

I knew subscription based games like FFXIV didn't require PS+ but didn't know about F2P. That's interesting.
