So you're posting quotes here but you're too lazy to give us the sources. Any more BS made up statements and lies you wanna tell us? You are the only one who is upset about Sony, they didn't attack you or your precious Nvidia 3D Vision or HTC Vive and claim they're inferior. Nor did their fans, they couldn't care less about your PC toys, and looking at their sales neither did the PC community.

And it's alright, all those years of anti-Sony feelings boiled up inside you had to be let go at some point. I bet you're now gonna run to PCMR sub and trying to comfort yourself. Jesus man, I thought you were a reasonable guy, but after seeing your hateful post here you're just as obnoxious as them.

First of all its clear someone is salty here and its you. Why are you bringing name calling and PC master race (Calling me a fanboy) into things?..

In fact, if i go back ill most likely find many of your old posts are you sure you want that??.

And i wonder how would you feel if users started calling PSVR and other PS4 hardware "Toys" that doesnt even compare to the real deal on PC would that make you happy?.

Also have you got sales data for Nvida 3Dvision? you also know people dont need that to use 3D on PC right? for instance many users like me just plug in a hdmi card to my amd gpu and play away on my 3Dtv using tridef.

Id also like sales data for the vive to show me how much PC users dont care about them.

Saying about old things that went on here without giving names is one thing. However naming hardware and sayin no body wants it without backing it up with sales data is not such a great idea.

I didnt bring system wars here, you did by lying and making up BS statements no one ever said and trying to flame Sony fans. It's clear you had to say something on the matter, something that boiled inside you. I mean it speaks for itself if no one can recall "psvr is higher res than vive because it has rbg screens!" comment by someone somewhere on the internet, it's a problem that you remember for so long and had it inside you.

You can go ahead, PSVR is also a toy, what is wrong with that? It's the moniker I use for tech related things.

There wasn't animosity between PS and PC fans because of 3D back then and there's no animosity between PS and PC fans because of VR. So don't start one. The only animosity in VR I see is towards Oculus and its DRM.

I'm sure the VIVE is better, from what I hear it's the best of the current gen VR headsets and I really hope I get to try it sometime soon.

However, PSVR being only slightly better than Gear VR is not what my experience has been at all.

I am stirckly talking fidelity, clarity, and brightness wise..   Motion conrtols, body detection. etc make for an OVERALL much better experience..  Plus obviously the PS VR will be capabale of much better games..

Oh, alright! That makes more sense.

What games did you play when you tried out the two headsets?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

This thread has gone to shit and it's already had a mod warning (one that decided not to act on the "salty" comment is way beyond me), why continue to derail it with system wars bs?.

Apart from the system wars I find the view on the HTC Vive to be a bit refreshing to see, because I originally thought for the Vive to be something that was very expensive but wouldn't output as much, glad to see that isn't entirely the case. I'm still not all that into VR gaming but at some point in the coming years I can see myself maybe grabbing a Vive for a few games, movies and virtual tours will be something I'd be more interested in though.

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

One very important thing missing.

What games were played?

It's simple. You bring up something anecdotal that might or might not have been said by certain persons that has no relevence to the thread here, comes off as gloating, and serves only to antagonize and bait a group of fans. Something you have a history of doing when it comes to Sony fans.

Clearly this thread is first off all about the OP using both the PSVR and the Vive. Clearly his point of view when it comes to res goes against many of the other posts we have seen on the PSVR. Me bringing that up is not going against the thread.

And why is it only Antagonizing when its trown back in the face of someone who is slinging mud but not when the person is slinging the mud?.

Person A trows stone at person B a week ago.

Conversation comes up a week later about trowing stones.

Person B explains how he was hit with a stone by Person A.

Person A then claims that Person B is lying and that he never done such a thing.

Person C claims person B has no right to be claiming such things about Person A and is only doing so to start trouble.

I love how you guys work...

You can't name anyone who threw that mud, and nobody threw that mud in this thread. So, again, what you do has nothing to do with the thread and is only gloating, needlessly antagonizing and baiting a fanbase.

Expected.

PSVR is cheaper and we already knew the performance was not at all at the same level than Vive.
This will be the cheap/entry level VR experience (maybe after the Gear VR at some point) but in no way it can be compared to Vive or even Oculus. Now, the good thing about PSVR is that there are already plenty of device (Play Station Four) out there capable of running it and while I do no think Virtual Reality is going to flop like the 3D; having a cheap version a big part of the console market can play with is definitely going to help, kudo to Sony for that.

I'm surprised Microsoft was show casing it tho in their store.

Heading down the tubes, this topic is.

Do something about it?.

I've been watching whenever these sort of things go down, some get banned straight off the bat for calling others salty or calling someone else's platform as mere "toys", but it's not happening here at all, of course we could easily go down the "pics or it didn't happen" route rather than trying to deal with the situation that has been transpiring before us.

I feel stuck... I think vive and oculus are a bit pricey but the ps VR really doesn't seem good enough to warrant the price either.

Might just wait this one out for a year or so

Look you think whatever you want to think. Keep your head in the mud when it suits you. Why dont you enter threads and start saying such stuff to other PS4 fans when they are the ones who was running down PC VR "It only has demos" in this very thread and many other ones like it.

Its clear for me to see what you are doing and your doing a very bad job of it. Since you dont like me you should just ignore me, kinda like im going to be doing to you from now on, since ive had enough of you and others like you to be honest...

I replied to Turkish.

 So... There's that. ^_-

I agree with you OP that you (often) get what you pay for.

I haven't tried HTC Vive but apparently that should be the best VR solution right now. That's good considering its $800 price and costly hardware demands.

So I thought "Nice. Finally a thread about why PS is not number one that is actually well argued in the OP."

Then I read this:

GearVR on an S7 is about the same as a PS VR..

I've tried Oculus Rift CV (and own a DK2), PSVR and Gear VR.

From my experience Gear VR is not about the same as PSVR. Not even close. I haven't heard anyone saying that either.

On the contrary, I've read a lot of previews/articles as this one from Polygon placing PSVR far closer to experiences found on OR and Vive than experiences found on Gear VR. Even though the games are running on a standard PS4.

  • "The PlayStation VR version of the game is an impressive achievement. Valkyrie is a graphically intensive game, and framerate has to be rock-solid for a comfortable VR experience. While it's clear the game doesn't look quite as good on the PlayStation 4 as it does on a high- end gaming PC, you're comparing a console that is sold for $350 with hardware that's around $950 for a minimum-spec Oculus Rift system.
  • I was able to play a few rounds on the PlayStation VR, and it was a comfortable experience. Valkyrie's framerate never dipped and thegame remains as beautiful, if a bit more jagged, than the PC version. Having spent so much time in the retail versions of the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, the comfort level of the PlayStation VR hardware is even more striking.
  • If given the choice of all three systems, I could see myself choosing to play on the PlayStation simply due to the low weight headset and the ease with which you can put it on and take it off, even with glasses. Another advantage the PlayStation VR version has over the Rift version is the PlayStation 4's ability to output the game to the television, full-screen, natively."

So initially, I agreed with you but regarding the quote (PSVR = Gear VR) I don't know where you're coming from at all.

But of course, I fully respect your "opinion"
