Nice work!

I didnt't finish reading yet though. I could hardly spot any console on sale in China during my 1.5 month visit which included Guangzhou and Shenzhen. (Although i cant really judge Shenzhen) In Guangzhou i spotted one, almost lost, stack of Xboxes somewhere.

Or is it just the size of the country and its cities that seems to be the problem here?

Well distribution is mostly online, but plenty of retailers do stock it. Usually the upper class style retailer like suning. Otherwise you will find them in small independant shops being sold. There are also some Sony stores (ran by Sony and franchise) that sell it too.

Like this one for example- http://i.imgur.com/ymxM5kX.jpg

Final Fantasy 15 will be coming to China at the same time as West. (It's in the article :P)

In fact KingsGlaive will premiere in China this June at Shanghai Film Festival. That's before Japan btw.

PS VR is also confirmed for China.

No word on Persona 5 but there is an Asian version.

Read the blog good well written, intresting that Fuze console has the same controller as Xbox, and neither Xbox or Playstation are making much of an impact.

While the numbers are small relatively the population of the country, but you have to understand that official sales aren't a old thing for China. For all purposes, it'a new untapped market for consoles. We'll see a lot of growth it as time goes.

Wouldnt be amazing to see China sell 50 million PS4's or Xbox One's.

Are these versions likely to highly edited, as i always thought China Goverment have to approve first?

Depends. Most of time a game can be approved without nothing needing to be changed. But sometimes they ouright deny it which means either they cannot release the game, or need to change the contents of the game and resubmit.

All games officially released in China today have no edits to them as far as I'm aware except for Halo MCC which removed some blood effect I believe.

Not really.

It's very hard to get any sort of data on software or hardware sales in China because there is no POS tracking service.

I get data from 1 retailer each month but that's hardly enough to draw any conclusions. Especially as the sales are in the hundreds.
