In 2010, the release of the original was a success and Rockstar Games' second installment is highly anticipated by fans all over the world. Critics say that the challenge now for the New York based developer, is to make the sequel better in terms of storyline, gameplay and all the other things that are important to the fans and gamers.

Strauss Zelnick, who is the CEO of Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive, has confirmed that the video game has a sequel and is considered a permanent franchise.

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent," shared Zelnick. "It's obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that 'Red Dead' is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others."

Zelnick has been asked a number of times why Rockstar does not annualize its game titles. The CEO explained that non-sport titles are best served not on an annual basis because it creates higher demand and anticipation from gamers, revealed the Master Herald.

Rumors of "Red Dead Redemption 2's" setting have been circulating on the web. Some believe that it will be in Japan but the game has always focused on the Old West. Other fans say that more states will be added in the new sequel, including Louisiana, South Dakota, Mexico, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and Denver, reported Latinos Health.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is slated for release on Oct. 2016 and will be available on different platforms, including PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Wait but your last sentence and your title doesnt make sense OP.

I just copied and pasted the article as it was presented. I don't know why they've chosen to present it this way so because of that I've just posted it as they have.

edit: I'll change it anyway.

PS4 release date is the only important one

YourHealthMag (I mean, what the fuck is this webpage talking about RDR2?):

So, let's go to mnrdaily.com :

In a statement, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive which is the parent company of Rockstar Games confirmed that a sequel of Red Dead Redemption is already at work. He also stated that the video game series will become a permanent franchise.

If we then redirect ourselves to the "statement", we end up in Christiantoday.com:

"Red Dead Redemption" released as far back as 2010, and similar to "The Elder Scolls V" and "Grand Theft Auto V," fans have been waiting for a follow-up. While nothing official has been announced thus far, a report from Cross Map does point out to a few theories and speculations that may find their way into the finished product.

Finally, Cross Map does simply speculate about Red Dead Redemption 2 without any kind of source or basics.

Huh.

If this was really going to release in sat October this year and they kept it under wraps until e3 I'll be delighted. So much better when you get super hyped and you only have to wait 4/5 months until the release rather than 2 years!

Day one purchase!!

Day fucking one. I guess this and Horizon will be my holiday games.
