Yesterday I got myself the xperia Z5 premium (love it so far) and now I´m looking for a decent but cheap (~30-50€) vr Headset to go along with it. I´m not sure wether the lenses should distort the image (like Rift) or not. Also I think some form of control over the smartphone when it is inside the headset (to start/stop/control an application) is neccessary. Update: bought the Akally 3D VR Headset for 39.99 and will post my impressions once it arrives (should be toorrow)
Update2: The Akally 3D VR Headset is a disaster. The Fov is simply terrible (like 45°?). It is actually worse than in the Verge hololens image
Yep the FoV is smaller than the "Hologram Visible" Area
Sent back and ordered anouther headset.
