And the games-flood begins in February. The first two titles are "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" and "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4", then "Street Fighter 5" and many more games. A great symbol for the video-game industry. Its party-time for all : D

What is your first game in the year 2016 for PS4 ? I wish you a great week, have fun.

Are those actually records though? I'm not trying to downplay but I'm sure Wii beat both those figures.

According to VGChartz, Wii was at 45.6M at January 3rd 2009.

Edit: Apparently, Nintendo has at 44.96M according to fiscal earnings.

"For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2008, (...) "Wii" achieved worldwide sales of 20.52 million units in the first three quarters of this year and has reached 44.96 million units life-to-date."

While this is certainly a great achievement for Sony and lots of good games are coming to the system, which is good for people who have bought it, in wich way is it great for the entire video game industry?

I'm not saying that it isn't, but I was expecting to read in what ways the entire industry benefitted from Sonys success.

All I got was a raving celebration of Sony. Wich is fine, but the thread title is slightly misleading.
