I think it's the later of the 2. People are just enjoying Fallout and Call Of Duty. I'll be playing Fallout for about the next month or two. I've seen complaints all over the net about there being no campaign mode for Battlefront, which could impact sales. As for Assassin's Creed, i think people are just tired of them releasing broken games, and avoided it, to see what it was like. I can see both of them gaining sales for the holidays, though.

Sony should put some special deals on the bundles starting when the movie releases until Christmas, that will indeed sell like crack.

Halo, if its performing on par with the usual AAA multiplat titles digitally should be anywhere around 15-20%... Some peoples expectations of 40%+ digital for that game was foolish from the beginning anyway though... A dramatic pick up on digital sales for that title are not going to suddenly and vastly out pace AAA multiplat titles in digital sales.

I don't know if I entirely agree with that, they seem to be comparing it to the usual AAA titles performance but I will say I agree we don't know what expectations for a game like Battlefront are exactly when its going to get a very large marketing push with the movie.

Fallout and CoD are titles with dedicated followers who will grab those games first, games which people often play for hundreds of hours. If you're buying Fallout or CoD then you might not need to purchase any of the other new releases for this period. A relatively high percentage of sales for Battlefront will probably be deferred until later.

I do see a lot of kids waking up to a Battlefront PS4 bundle on Christmas, as well.

I had seen that..it was advertised as a pre-BF event deal though, not BF itself (they also have COD bundle + Taken king for 430 right now). If that's what they meant, lol..I'm sure plenty of people are waiting for that backpack

Yeah, that's the only deal I've seen for the bundle. But it'd be pretty lame if that was the only deal.

I really don't see Sony doing PS4 handoffs on dimly-lit street corners.

I think a massive portion of people are going digital, I like phsyical copies and on a few games have also went digital. However many of my friend have went this route, maybe just a trend with my friend or maybe not.
