Yeah I'm sure the ps3 was very profitable if you just forget the billions they blew in r&D and post release selling at a loss. My God where do they get these guys from.
At least I can agree on the 360 part. I'd say it was moderately profitable with the massive software sales and high console sales. Enough to offset the billions lost in covering rrod, other faults, advertising, R&D and buying exclusives. I'd definitely say it made a moderate profit.
Problem is the over all xbox venture was way in the red coming into the xbox one launch and they blew all their gains with that botched launch. It's proved very costly and unless they last the price and lose a few more billion to get them back in the game they are going to fall far behind. They threw away 8 years of hard work with the 360.
