Game of the Year 2015: MGS5 or Bloodborne?

Metal Gear Solid 5 of course! 99 27.73%

100 % Bloodborne! 180 50.42%

Both games incredibly, can not decide 25 7.00%

see results 53 14.85%

Total:357

a interesting review-topic. metacritic say: Metal Gear Solid 5 has 93 % of all reviews worldwide. The PS4 exclusiv-game Bloodborne has 92 % ! That is AMAZING too. If you had to choose - What game is better for you personally / MGS5 or Bloodborne? I'm curious about your thoughts :) (but please no spoiler)

update: Its officall now. Fallout 4 has between 87-89 %. So, Metal Gear Solid 5 > Bloodborne > Fallout 4. BUT: All 3 games are big and awesome^^ the Game of the Year is clear now, i think. This year was very interesting :)

Bloodborne.

MGSV is a massive disappointment to me as a MGS fan. It's not a bad experience (it's actually quite good), but it doesn't feel like MGS. I value the aspects that the game shred over those that it adopted. I really feel that critically MGSV was reviewed in a bubble (due to the Nazi camps) and we're seeing divisive thoughts by gamers themselves.

There are more games to be released this year. Including xenoblade chronicles X

I liked MGS V but the last missions in the game are stupid. Redoing old missions with certain conditions suck.

Bloodborne was absolutely brilliant though. I give it my vote.

There is still time to see if Xenoblade Chronicles X takes the spot but for now... Bloodborne wins.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

I'd personally consider TW3 (92), Bloodborne (92), and MGS5 (93) tied. General variance makes that 1 point difference functionally meaningless.

It's also worth noting that 2015 isn't actually over yet :p There are still quite a few games coming out this year that could score well, such as Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, Legacy of the Void, Star Wars: Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Rainbow Six Siege, and XCX.

While the original Xenoblade was the best game last gen, I see this one underperforming from a quality standpoint.  Can't see it getting above an 87.

From reviews of the Japanese version I heard the plot is really weak, the pacing is bad and the characters are boring.  Music is subjective, but I'm sure you've heard the battle theme.  Probably not a bad game, but dissapointing compared to XC.

I'm just waiting for Fallout 4 and XCX before making conclusions.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I´m a Metal Gear fan (or...used to be) but MGSV left a bad taste, the core gameplay is the best the series has ever seen but everything else is a disappointment.

What a disappointing swan song for the Kojima Metal Gear games.
