Yes, hold a direction for a few seconds, press X, yes, QTE.

What am I even reading dude?

The actual fights on the Colossi were pretty much select the sword, and use it, getting up to the weak points were puzzles. I personally found the game boring, bland and very sluggish, but if you like the game and I have tarnished the game in your view, I'm sorry. If I want that style of game, I will play Catherine, as it has IMO a better control scheme, and a much faster pace.

Before you jump on the QTE bandwagon in order to use it in a negative way, at least find out what the damn thing means.

The PS5 Exists.

QTE, stands for quick time event, or press a button within a certain amount of time, for a desired result, usually but not limited to cut-scenes. Allows a more inteactive experience for gameplay not normally experienced in the standard parameters of said game. It was fairly uncommon prior to Shenmue, but really caught on post God of War and Resident Evil 4.

Did I miss something?

You don't know what QTEs are.

Then elaborate what they are, or would you rather that I just post the entire definition? I never said that they are bad inherently, and I can infer from the Save Shenmue 3 sig, that they are not bad to you, but I personally would rather my gameplay remain gameplay withing the game, than a timed button press for a result within the game.

I don't have a problem with you liking it or not, but ypur comment seems like of a person that either don't know what are QTE's and heard it's bad so as you don't like the game saying it has QTEs is an point to call it bad, or you don't actually played the game.

If SotC have QTEs, so every single existing game also does have then, as you will always be doing actions like press a button to something to happen, and if that was the case it wouldn't have a need to call then anything else than action rather than giving it a specific name.

Either way, it was clear you used it as a bad point, and even said they were long when it would actually need a sequence to actually have any length, like GoW does.
