Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How Long Will Nintendo Dominate The Top-Game Sales?

In terms on indiviual games, Nintendo has the Top 15, and has over half of the top 100 games. How long do you think domination like that will last?

Nintendo don't even have the top 2, let alone the top 15. Forgetting that GTA V has sold over 50m already are you?

I said indiviual games, as in, stand-alone copies. I.e., PS4 GTA V is one game, XBO is one, PS3 is one, etc.  Not the game's collective sales across all platforms.

I'm not sure any game will break into that top 15 ever again.

I don't think anything will ever top them.

Seriously, the best-selling games of all time and the first 15 of them are all from Nintendo systems. That's an amazing accomplishment.

If PC games count, Minecraft (PC) will soon be in the top 15.

Oh, I was just speaking in terms of console/handheld games. Minecraft will surely make it.

the Pc version, xbox 360, ps3, ps4 and xbox one versions of gta V are technically not the same.

OT: Android games and iOS games already sold better. "real" games whise i doubt anything will break this leadership soon.

Times change. Look at the dates on most of those and look at the circumstances. You will probably never see a single game bundled with most Playstation or Xbox consoles sold in a generation, for instance. Even if they do, it would probably be digital, and we might never know the actual amount "sold".

Games are also a lot cheaper now and there is far more diversity. The climate now is far less conducive to exclusives trying to climb that list.
