I think they should vote No and default - I've thought it was the best option since the start of the crisis. Devalue everything, become self-sufficient, and then reopen for business in a few years.

I think Tsipras was put in an impossible position by the EU, because the EU will not admit that it is impossible for Greece to repay what they owe EVEN with austerity, effective taxes, and substantial growth.

Also because they wanted to buy time. For 5 years now, we're in the eye of the storm, while Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Italy are slowly recovering.

People who are hoping for a miracle by a weakened drachme: The Greek economy is very uncompetitive, it imports far more than it exports. A weakened currency will barely make a difference;

Who will want to invest in Greece when it can't be trusted that the government will pay back its loans? The interest rate will still be really high.

greece can repay its debt in the long run.  but the EU and even tsipras dont want to go that way, high taxes for wealthy and prison for tax evasion is evil communism!  better take away all the money from the poor, they just buy beer and cigarets anyway.
