Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Japan Only Nintendo Direct @ May 31 (Wii U/3DS Summer Games)

Yoshi's Wooly World release date for Japan, please!!

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

Considering this is a Japanese tweet and well E3 really isnt for Japan I dont see why not.

If it's covering summer released it'll help free up E3 for other things hopefully!
Unless it is essentially a Japanese only direct.

Most likely discussing on Fire Emblem if, Dragon Quest, yo-kai watch, and yoshi's woolly world.

Title should specify that this is a Japanese Direct so people don't get confused.

The Digital Event will be more focused on games coming out worldwide.
If there's quite a few titles coming out for 3DS and Wii U only in Japan, them it makes sense.

Whut why have one weeks before E3?

In 2013, they had one about three weeks prior to E3. Japan got an extra one on May 31st that year, too.

I'd say this one will probably handle some housekeeping type announcements. You know, like some more information on Yoshi's Woolly World, updates regarding Splatoon DLC and Lucas release date for SSB, a proper reveal for Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon (it's a spinoff mostly popular in Japan, I doubt it'll get significant time at E3), etc.

Also, more teasers for E3 reveals.

Just for fun, I'm going to make a prediction that is almost certainly false, but it would be incredible if it happened: they show off the Lucas DLC, announce a date, and then say something along the lines of "check out our next Direct at E3 for some more news related to Lucas".

...Why?

My unlikely prediction would be Pokken Tournament for Wii U confirmed.

Maybe they want to focus on new games at e3 and have lots
