Bioware's General Manager Aaryn Flynn has weighed into comments that Dragon Age: Inquisition's success will lead to Mass Effect 4 (which won't be the game's title) emulating some of its systems and approaches.

He says that after using Frostbite and some technology, the next Mass Effect "will be (and should be) drawing on its own rich and successful past more than what DA:I would say it should do."

He goes on to make further comments about the Mako, before commenting that "dropping the older consoles has had more impact on overall gameplay goals" of the next Mass Effect. This seemingly confirms that the title will be a current generation-only affair.

Flynn also appeared to confirm much of the rumour spread by Shinobi about there being larger, more fluid areas in the next Mass Effect installment.

Yeah lack of official detail is slowly crushing my soul.

Clearly at this point we cannot expect the game before 2016 - but I am dying for some more official video, gameplay, a teaser trailer, ANYTHING!

Pretty much! A new mass effect game exclusively to the next gen consoles would truly be epic and I am sooo eger to see it! I really hope they show it cause its soo hard to wait T_T

They better show footage at E3...

I do hope they put just as much effort into ME4 as DAI. It likely won't have the same length, as DAI is mostly open world and that just isn't ME.

But I do want a solid 30+ hour sojourn with some serious replayability.

They showed some of the Mako and concept art last year. You'd have to think if they have a presentation and don't show something from the game this year it would actually be a sign something was wrong.

Glad they dropped thePS3 and 360. They're approaching 9 and 10 years old, it's time to let them go.

I was easily up in the 60+  hour range on all of the ME games. I dont imagine this one will be any worse.
