Forums - Gaming Discussion - Super Mario 64 Remaster would be EPIC!

I know of a group of students currently working on this and it looks amazing, but an official Nintendo Remaster of this game to me would be just EPIC!  It's all I ever wanted from Nintendo the past 10 years or so. What do you guys think?

Remaster or remake?

I very much agree! Would love to experience that again with updated graphics. Maybe even get all the stars for once

Honestly I would be happy with either.

Meet Yoshi? He was in Super Mario 64? :o

The things that you don't even know are in games without internet...

Yes once you collect all 120 stars a cannon opens up in the caslt grounds and you shoot yourself to the roof to meet Yoshi

No, it wouldn't. The dated level design would not good at all in HD, and if you're gonna suggest redesigning the levels, then isn't that basically creating a new Mario game? :/

I would personally love a Halo: Anniversary type of thing, with remastered and remade graphics that can be changed on the fly.

I suppose they could work off the new base they made with the DS game, especially since it had 30 extra stars iirc and the graphics are more updated.

It'd still be a waste IMO.

The 20th anniversery is next year, so it might actually happen. Also remake, not remaster ;)

Its probably the best way Nintendo could support the Wii U with more Mario  platformers without stealing any resources from the true galaxy successor which I would like to think will launch their next system.

If they threw in Windwaker style mario sunshine remaster that would be much appreciated :)
