Why do any of you Nintendo fans still have faith that the Wii U will make comeback? Why? It's been given every single opportunity to shine in 2014 from Mario Kart 8 to Super smash Bros to the highly acclaimed Bayonetta. There is practically no hope left for the Wii U. Sure Zelda may be coming, sure Star fox is on the way and sure their are other secondary first-party games coming but at the end of the day, this is the end of the road for the Wii U. With nothing better to offer and a new Nintendo console already in the works the Wii U will be lucky to hit 15 million.

With this thread I am not stating that the Wii U is a horrible console. Infact the Wii U is amazing and has amazing first party games but unfortunately as it stands the Wii U is definitely not making a comeback and nothing done will help increase its sales.

Edit: Short version. Will it manage to reach Ps3 or X360 numbers. The Wii U when  launches were allighned was actually doing better than both of these consoles. 

Because the games that it has are amazing. It's definitely a console worth buying.

I don't think anyone expects that it will start flying off the shelves all of a sudden.

We expect it to sell better. You may not realize it but off of Mario kart 8 nintendo just needed to have some games coming right after that to keep the momentum but the break between mk8 and hyrule warriors killed it. They should be able to have game a month from feb down to december + more which will = a much higher baseline than last year especially since mk8 + smash will provide a slightly higher baseline for it. This should be the Wii U's year Especially with a pricecut and some proper bundles.

I think most people have now accepted that the WiiU will never be a huge seller, despite the fact that is has some pretty great games.

There's actually very few users who believe the Wii U will make a comeback. Most accept its fate and just enjoy the great games.

I knew that the system isn't going to exactly be flying off shelves and catching up to the Xbone, all I want is Nintendo to realize that they made mistakes with the Wii U and that they should try to fix those issues with their next console. As long as they continue to support it with great games until their next console comes out, then I'm satisfied as at least now, Nintendo is making a profit.

Who said we wanted it to make a comeback? I highly doubt that anyone expects the Wii U to start outselling the twins. I think you're confusing love of orginal and unique gameplay for misguided hope :D

it does have amazing games but if they are not to your taste then what will you play? it has a tiny number of retail releases this year. it's worth buying for some and it's games over are top notch but it's not good enough for the average consumer. 

I for one don't see a comeback and it's 2014 sales were actually lower than my low expectations. 2015 should be it's peak year so will be interesting to see what it does.
