Forums - General Discussion - Anybody "Splurged" on shopping this Holiday season?

Tagged games:

Was just curious on how many gaming things I bought this holiday season... The results really made me realize I A ADDICT...! And a Glutton... o.O! To my defense though 80% of this stuff was on sale...

Surprisingly I actually spent LESS this holiday season on myself(less on clothes, sneakers, Blu Ray Movies, and going out), even though spending more on games. I also bought many gifts for family and friends than I usually do during the holiday.

Anybody else splurged this passed holiday season? Preferrably on games but welcome to share if on anything else if you want...

I don't think I bought anything. I bought a new kickass shaver on cyber monday but that's pretty much it. My big splurging will be stretched across this year where I will probably spend 5 times as much as last year.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Nice picture. Jeanne D'Arc, Chrono Trigger, FF Tactics, Valkyria Chronicles, Deus Ex...

OT: I bought a ton of games during Steam sale. That's all.

Yeah, I bought all these games because when they become scarce, they become EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. When Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn came out, I saw it as low as 29.99. I slept on getting it and by the time I wanted to play it, the price ballooned to $80 bucks online! I ended up buying it for $75 dollars :-/. I don't regret buying it, but I want to prevent that from happening ever again. Hence why I bought all the games I know I want to play in the future NOW! So I made so I am covering all the classics (most of the games you mentioned) .

Something similiar happened to me with Metroid Prime Trilogy (was on sale for $19.99 on Best Buy, slept on getting it, ended up paying $65 bucks on it).
