Wrong.  Most things are on Ultra:

EDIT:  He is even using "FULL 4K" which is higher than 3840x2160.

Take a look at benchmarks for newer games. 4K isn't for that GPU. You need a SLI/Crossfire if you're really into that.

I mean I just did give you gameplay of someone playing one of the games you listed in 4K on a 7970 with mostly Ultra.  Please don't mention the garbage that is Unity.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

Here you go, Crysis 3 won't run in 4K on High (not even Very High) and with just FXAA, that has almost zero impact. Evil Within, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age, Ryse are more demanding than Crysis 3. You can't run these games in 4K with that GPU, unless you have 2. Actually, allmost all 8th gen ports are more demanding than Crysis 3.

Why did you just post a picture showing that the 7970 can clearly run it on High?  Overclock it another 10-20% abd BOOM!

It's 26fps on AVERAGE. It means it will go for 40s during closed corridors and craw to 15-20s during vegetation intensive areas (and there are a lot of them), so it's unplayable.

GPUs that can run Crysis 3 at high@30fps will have problems with Ryse and Evil Within in low/medium @ 720p. You can't run these games in 4K on high, let alone ultra.

They tend to benchmark in some of the most intense areas so while it isn't likely the worst case scenario, it sure as hell isn't the average one.

I think you are missing my point:  Even a 7970 (Overclocked especially) can run 4K ok in MOST games.  That means Ultra in some, and Medium-High in most.  Considering this is a card in it's 4th year of issue, I would say that is pretty god damn good.  This means the newer 980, and 290X (Especially the 8GB versions) have ZERO trouble running ALL games well in 4K considering they are 50% stronger than the 7970.

Wait a few months and the 380X, 390X, and 985 will be out and able to max out most games in 4K.

You are missing my point. Most games still are 7th gen games. That games won't be an issue. 8th gen games are insanely more demanding, even for GPUs like the 970/980 that are considerably beefier than a 7970.

So let's wait some months for your magic happen. Let's finish this off-topic argument since we won't agree anytime soon about the topic.
