Funny, I just added Platinum Games as a possible developer for Star Fox. Check out the third party studio section!

But to answer your question: currently we only know that the "Comprehensive Development Group" from Nintendo EAD is working on it. They don't usually make games. The following is from wikipedia: "The Nintendo EAD Comprehensive Development Group is the managerial group that Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, two Nintendo veteran developers, manage. The group is primarily focused on managing staffs, budgets, concepts and prototypes throughout all of Nintendo EAD. The group is rarely involved with the primary development of a game, but it has done so from time to time, such as in 2004 with Super Mario 64 DS for the Nintendo DS, and most recently for the Wii U with Star Fox and other projects."

They also made Mario Kart: Double Dash. But like I said, they have little experience making games and they were looking for a partner to develop Star Fox. We don't know yet if they found one.

Thanks for the info.

Great work Aran. I love threads like this that offer complete overview of exciting upcoming games.

Do we know which studios are rumored to be working on Project Giant Robot and Project Guard? It might be the same developer as Star Fox U since the 3 games are connected.

I'm really looking forward to see what Retro is working on (I'm hoping for a new IP or a full blown 3D Metroid) and to know more of Star Fox U including the game's developer (I have my doubts about the 171-strong Platinum being the developer now that they're busy making Scalebound and "more Bayonetta").

I wonder if the 3 exclusives and 1 remake rumored to be revealed for Wii U in 2015 include already announced games. What do you think the games will be? Animal Crossing U, Metroid U, Super Mario Galaxy U, something else?

Thank you for this thread! Best overview i saw yet. I really hope that SMTxFE isn't cancelled. Just recently started playing SMT IV as it released in europe a few months ago and i really like it so far.
Aside from that, Paper Mario.

At E3 they said it was coming along at a good pace but if he spoke about it he would be in a lot of trouble so its probably not cancelled.

Yes, it's the Comprehensive Development group of Nintendo EAD. I doubt they will be released as new games, they will probably be incorperated in Star Fox Wii U somehow. That's why I didn't include it.

Also added Gungho (Puzzles & Dragons: Super Mario Edition) with the third party studios.

I hope it's Metroid U and Paper Mario U. :p

Nice.thread. we.just need a.direct now

Nintendo has no third party support, am I right? :p

Thread updated after the latest direct.

Wasn't the a rumour that Platinum possibly had entered into another project with Nintendo or at least were in talks to do one?
