Forums - General Discussion - My new life values:

Hello World: I am Dhir, a 19 year old Indian Kid who was born and raised in America who was caught in a mixture of different cultures, values, needs, materialism, hate and bigotry which had caused me to be a confused jumble of what was me someone caught up on name brands, having the best, quick fixes of happiness, but without any vision, beliefs, or values that I can stick by. In my life I have had to teach myself how to adjust in the world because I had no true friends or human connections because I couldn't connect with myself first due to bullying happening to me at such an early age until I had learned how to start balancing out my own life so I can put my jumbled mess of a life into a new beginning.

I believe that humans are capable of only positivity, but due to confusion negativity has been founded upon us. We as a society failed to teach our kids from a ground up perspective on life from the basic values of human connection, and using our five senses to ignite our humanistic traits in which we create forms of art, music, videogames, comedy, our clothing, and a whole bunch of other ways of expressing ourselves.

We also have not properly taught our children how to use their bodies to the max efficiency meaning feeling ourselves, our muscles, our skin, and everything else our bodies are meant to do so we can make human connections through music and dance. What we failed to do as technology has evolved, is teaching kids how to use that technology to make your lives more efficient instead of it overtaking us.

Now that we have an understanding of technology, biology, physics, math, logic, science why haven't we put all of our past history and everything bad that has happened in the past to use and understand the basic concepts of humans and take all the good parts of religion and culture and bridge it with the gap we have with science and technology so that we don't lose that basic concept of what we humans are and what we are doing in this world.

BALANCE IS KEY TO LIFE. And balance can be achieved if we can have a bottom to top left to right approach in learning where we start off learning the basics but seeing the big picture. So you can hope of reaching that big picture in time. Left and right approach as too learning about unrelated things so at the end all of it adds up to you life goals and you can get ahead as a person to the max that you can be.

To parents and future parents: Please teach your kids what his basic needs are and as a child teach him good genuine social and humanistic values like:

love, compassion, empathy, the ability to understanding people who are confused and need help and their reactions to certain events, how to use music and art to express yourselves and your values.

first before putting any materialistic things into his life.

Video Games, movies, tv are made to understand human connection better but if you child can't understand those basic values first how is he going to get ahead in life if he's just being told what to do and can't figure his life out for himself first?

If you teach a kid good values and how to get successful in life with using those values only in a balanced approach where one part of a life isn't overtaking another (due to survival in a money hungry world) then you have done good as a parent in making your child all of these:

Happy with himself,
able to use his skills to better society in how he feels is the right way of doing it,
and NOT HURTING OTHERS in the process due to confusion between different values and minds (don't judge or assume).

Negativity can be removed if and only if we go back to finding the key root the the problem, like what's causing all of it on both ends of the spectrum using logic and math and also basic human concepts so we can internally understand what the problem is so we can fix it. Fixing is not "getting rid of the problem" (wars) but it's to get humans to understand what "our purpose is" without any hate judgement or bigotry, all which has been brought upon us due to different beliefs and ideologies. If only we as humans had the ability to just be pure gay and understand all religions and cultures based on all that is human and good, so we can understand ourselves as humans more and can all connect and be one at the end.

Unfortunately yes my ideology is similar to socialism and positivism but you have to understand my goal is to take just all the good from these things and get rid of things like judgement and what's abnormal and what's not. We as a society can do much better and can move on from the famines, and deaths, and all of the other negativity in this world.

Isn't Buddhism something like this?

Side note, my mother went to UAlbany. You say you're Indian does that mean heritage wise or because you grew up in India? Or do you mean American Indian?
