Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hyrule Warriors getting Amiibo support

Amiibo compatibility is coming to Hyrule Warriors, Nintendo has announced. Players will be able to use the Link figure in the game at some point in the future.

Specific details beyond the initial announcement were not shared today.

As tweeted by Nintendo of America:

#amiibo figure Link will be compatible with #HyruleWarriors. Stay tuned for more info.

.......how?

Really, im drawing blanks here. Does the Amiibo Link level up like the Network Links?
Or is it simply going to add another version of Link to play as?

They said stay tuned for a reason.

It's to sell Bikini Cia and Lana figures.

And I will buy them all.

That's cool, Link is the only Amiibo I preordered and I haven't bought Hyrule Warriors yet.

Sounds like a good start to Dead or Alive Extreme 3 becoming a WiiU exclusive ;)

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
