Pokemon looks to have a great first week in US. Wonder how its comparing to X/Y.

And is VGchartz pre-order gotten reliable? I often hear people complain about it but I'm not sure.

i don t know, but you can say that they arent representive,e.g smash bros 3ds had 70k pre-orders and probably have sold in the  first week in usa around 900k-1.2m...:P

Yeah, pre-orders weren't a great indication of Nintendo game sales for the Wii and DS and I bet its the same for the Wii U and 3DS.

I believe I hear more complaints about AAA third party games though.

I'd love to see Smash sell that much in the US but I'm not sure if it can. Japan loves smash and handheld games so its huge first week make sense. Unfortunately, the 3DS has been selling the worst in US lately. And since its the first handheld Smash game, Ithink its difficult to predict it first week sale. It will definitely sell way more than the 70k pre-order number though.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Lets be serious here, you think it can do better than it did in Japan??
Where there is a larger install base and less craps given about the home console version releasing in less than 2 months.
I think your asking a lot of it, I mean its possible but it would damn surprise me given the US' attitude towards dedicated handhelds.

i think in USA there are more people who are buying games than in Japan:P

we should be happy that 3ds hasnt fallen below 20k in Europe and USA, taking into account new 3ds/xl ;)

Not on a 3DS, Japan has higher HW sales than US and a higher tie-ratio.

Those COD numbers are so wrong. I'd believe it if sales were in favor of XB1 by a bit but almost 2 to 1? That's laughable.

Even if these pre-order numbers are 50% off these are still horrible horrible pre-order numbers for COD.
Where did this audience go? Destiny? I can't believe are satisfied with that game. This huge audience doesn't just disappear, it has to go somewhere.

All these numbers feel so low. I remember pre-order numbers for these games much higher a couple of years ago. Although they are probably lower because of decreasing quality or too many sequels.

Hope Driveclub is higher.

Assassin's Creed numbers are bad.

No, it isn't.

So comparing the two, Halo MCC is behind Halo CEA by 135k.

http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/41917/USA/ Halo MCC
http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/40825/USA/ Halo CEA

Is this some sick joke or something, ioi?

Who knows.

But you have to consider that Halo CEA launched on a platform with about 80 million vs Halo MCC launching on a platform with less than 10 million.

In the long run, a ton of x360 owners will upgrade and Halo MCC will continue to sell well (long legs) despite how it may sell at launch.
