Sorry but that is a pointless comparison.

There is a Nokia Windows Phone on sale somewhere this week for $60, lets compare it to the Xbone controller. Well the Xbone controller wins hands down in terms of controlling games but it falls short in the music storage department and most importantly cellular coverage I tried for 5 hours but could never figure out how to make calls with it.

Kinect is fine but with all respect I don't think Kinect has as many games as the Vita. Vita isn't just a peripheral as it has lots of quality games though you can argue that some of the experiences can be found on home consoles as well. In contrast Kinect has what? 4 games?

Terrible comparison. The Vita isn't just a peripheral for the PS4.

It's a peripheral that by pure coincidence can play a few games locally without PS4.

I agree with most here that the vita is a standalone portable console and so this comparism can't really be made. Anyways I prefer the Vita just for that.

vita for me, i took the kinect 2.0 off awhile ago, it hardly ever worked voice wise and was an eyesore tbh, i will use it for the fitness program when i do use it so it does have a practical use for me. but vita is used more often.

What a question... is there even a need to think? The Vita is more than a peripheral, and its better at that than at beeing one.

Kinect 2.0, simply because it is more functional outside of games in conjunction with the console.

Otherwise, the Vita is simply better because it can play games on its own, and can actually be used as an accurate controller.
