Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nook HD + , Dragon Quest VIII, and Emulation

So I haven't taken the tablet plunge, but have an old non-name brand ebook reader that I've been using for years, but has slowed down considerably to the point that loading my ebooks is a chore. I was looking at the Nook HD+ at Walmart (probably will buy it slightly used online for $99-120), and found it to be quite impressive for the price. The DPI is pretty awesome, and perfect for the textbook reading that I will be using it for. Expandable memory is a huge plus for me. And the access to google play store allows me to do much more with the tablet than media functions. One of the only tablet games I have been interested in getting though, is Dragon Quest VIII. I've been trying to look online for required specifications, but I can't find them. Is the Nook HD+ powerful enough to play DQ VIII (if it isn't supported outright, I'd just root it and play the game that way, assuming it is powerful enough.)  I would also like to know what level of emulation would be capable on this device. Are N64 and PSOne at reasonable framerates possible?

Here are the specifications:

1.5GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 CPU

PowerVR SGX545 GPU

1GB of RAM
