I know it has problems, but you said earlier on that you didn't care about the graphics, my bad, you said you didn't think games were better because of their graphics.

I never said that the Wii U's graphics were perfect or even the quality of ps4's graphics. 

I have no understanding of this, i really doubt you even understand all that I understand on the subject. The Playstation4 has trouble hitting 60 fps and that's a fact. It is extremely ignorant to say that any can do however many fps it wants to, it is a lie.

Finally, you just keep dodging the issue, when I talk about graphics, you talk about gameplay, when I talk about gameplay, you talk about graphics.

Edit- earlier when I said not to tell me ps4 is better than wii u because of graphics, I meant that that wasn't a viable reason. I know the PS4 has better graphics.I wasn't kidding about the framerate though.


Considering graphic dev is part of  my day to day work, I really do understand this. 

Framerate is entirely down to the complexity of what you are rendering. Throw star citizen on the PS4 and it'll get probably 10 fps if that. Throw on a SNES game, and it'll be hitting thousands of frames a second. Gauging a console's strength by simple the fps rate is literally pointless. 

What are you talking about?!?! Since when have I mentioned gameplay?!?! Deary me, sounds like you are clutching at straws trying to come up with some odd rebutal to something that was never said. 

Fact: the Wii U has poor graphically capability compared to it's rivals. 

Do you agree that the above then means that a large portion of gamers will therefore overlook the console?

I agree that a portion of gamers will overlook the console, I don't think it's that large.

Rather than providing a rebuttal for what you've said, I'm trying to point out what you haven't said, anything meaningful. 

Since it seems "when in this thread have I mentioned my preferences" I assumed it was about gameplay. Now I know that your preferences are supposedly not graphics or gameplay, so I have no idea what you even look for in a game. also it's pretty impressive that you have a job in graphic dev right out of high school.

Right so we should all say Mass Effect and The Walking Dead are shit because they are mature games and no one should touch them ever. 

Do the world a favour and blow up however you are connecting to the internet. 

They have a lot of indie support. Thing is Nintendo is not an indie company, but I bet you wouldn't have known that from your response.

I'm not saying mature games are bad. There is just not an extra value added by it being mature, It all boils down to story, gameplay and graphics.

One rts which is very limited compared to SC2 or SupCom etc. Racing sims are a huge market - not their style = millions of lost sales/customers.

And what the hell are you on about "make you more mature"? Has it ever occured to you that people do actually mature and prefer mature storylines. Just look at the success of Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad - people like mature content. You can stick with your games, but I want games made for adults eg. solid scripts, indepth storylines etc...and clealry more people want that then Mario.

All I'm saying is that a mature story just means more violence and sex. If you want porn in your game, fine by me, but I would hardly call it a requirement. If you look at movies, the most popular are not packed the blood and gore, and ratings generally agree. I just don't see how gore and sex would make it more appealling if you weren't trying to compensate for something.
