You seem SO sure that that is the only thing they use it for. I just can't even do this thread anymore. Everybody apparently knows more about the exact information than I do. They know Sony is releasing 100% accurate information. They know Sony has massively more (and relevant) information than VgChartz. They know that Sony does NOT use VgChartz Pro for weekly sales data of their own console, because they clearly would never need to know what their console is selling weekly.

You guys just seem to know so many things, and be certain of so many things, it is quite literally impossible to even counter you, because you refuse to accept anything else is true.

Where are you getting all of this knowledge about the information Sony has? I'd love to see it, so I don't keep babbling on when there is apparently public knowledge about what information Sony uses.

Much of that knowing comes from experience. I for example have been the Manager of a target store for about 4 years now. So I know for a fact that every week the vendors/manufacturers  get a list of how their product sold that week. It doesn't matter if it's a Nintendo Wii U or a Hamilton Beach single serve blender, they get the numbers. Their businesses depend on them and they try to keep a good relationship with their retail partners.

So logic says that Sony's information is 100% accurate? I'd love to know the logic behind that, when one can easily find instances of companies lying about things exactly like this in the past.

So logic says that Sony doesn't use VgChartz for their own weekly data? Logic tells me, having seen a lot in the business world, that many businesses purchase information from outside companies because those companies are better at compiling the information than they would be. In this situation, Sony is in the business of selling consoles. This does not necessarily imply they have the best weekly console sales estimator around. Using a little logic would clearly tell you that.

I'm sure logic is also what was used when I was told as a matter of fact that financial statements are exact to the cent.

It is not logic.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!! IT IS A FACT!!!

There is no other info more accurate than that one... because you know, it is the reality.

PS. Sony uses trackers like NPD, GFK, Famitsu/MC in their PR and to sum the estimates... they never used VGC.

Ohhhhh. I'm actually curious. What exactly do you do that allowed you to "see a lot in the business world"?

Considering your lack of knowledge, inexperiance, and poor logic, I'm going to call BS.

And I'll tell you right now, even a company with all the information in the world in front of their eyes doesn't mean that company reports to the public the correct information.

Yea, I don't believe you. No way thats possible given the, frankly speaking, ignorance you seem to be displaying in this thread.

If you for one second think VGC is more accurate then, just wow.

It's not tho. Unless you want to give me your real name, your jobs name and either give me their number, no wait I'll just look it up and call to verify. I have really hard time believing a 22 year old has a Master of Science in Accounting or Master of Business Administration. Ya know which would be a requirement for employment at any of the top 50 Auditing firms in the US.
