I am just wondering, cause I hate buying used games and consoles at gamestop if I know it doesn't affect numbers for the company, and feel like a douche.

It does not.
And any used game or console you buy at Gamestop will not give one cent or sales figure to a Publisher or Developer.

Even if it would track them, what is the point? A sold used game or console doesn't add to the overall sold consoles which is always between the company who produces it and the customer.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
No it doesn't. The company who made the game/console sees none of that money, and if you bought it from gamestop, they make a double profit.
Well, keep in mind, if you buy a pre-owned game on the market, the company who made that game makes $0 from it, so yeah...
