Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why Final Fantasy VII is Still the Best RPG Ever Made

1. response: Emperor gestahl had like 2 minutes literally in the whole game. Which doesn't leave much time for a personality or motives.
2. response: That's nice an all but nothing riveting to move the story along other than the linear event of search and rescue more or less. Now if the game would have let you switch between characters and do their objectives and then run into the other characters and have dialogue and what not about how they feel about the fact that the whole world was just destroyed.
3. response: I guess for the time you can easily argue that and i will admit my standards are high playing 7 then 9 then 8 for my first 3 rpg's ever. i guess i just wanted a little more dialogue just having casual conversations between each other and see how they treat each other.
4. This i will stand by. The ending for me personally was terrible just seeing the cliche "teamwork" and just watching them escape. What happened afterwords? how did the world look? how many survivors to rebuild? but to each his own i'm glad you loved it, i still enjoy the game but to me its no 7,8 or 9, It's a SNES game so i didn't expect it to be as good as them when i played it, but still a great RPG and FF.
