Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kadokawa Shoten to merge with Dwango

These two giant Japanese corporations are to merge in the upcoming months to form Kadowkawa Dwango Ltd.. You may be wondering, how do these companies relate to gaming. Both these companies actually have major gaming components . Dwango is the parent company to Spike Chunsoft, a publisher and developer known for such things as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, Zero Escape and publishing a few games in japan such as Dead Island, Epic Mickey and Terraria. Dwango also owns Nico Nico Douga, which is one of the large vidoe streaming sites in Japan. Nintendo also happens to have some stake in them. Kadokawa Shoten on the other hand has a large game development and publishing section of business called KadoKawa Games, mostly known for the KanColle stuff and various anime adaptations. They've also recently acquired From Software, known for the Souls series.

Nintendo now owns a stake in From Soft? Can I be excited for Metroid Souls yet?
