Your inverbal admittance of the outrageousnous of your original prediction shows that you have no idea what you're talking about and thus, you have resorted to severely bending truths to fit your argument (and you're doing it poorly).

NPD is close to being out and MS said that sales more than doubled in June. Very vague statement because their May numbers were so low. We're seeing around 160k sales for June. However, monthly PS4 sales average out to approximately 200k. If the X1 has outsold the PS4 in June, we would have already heard from MS already saying that they "proudly announced that X1 was the #1 console in June." However, they instead made a vague announcement, but hey, it's much better than May.

But on a positive note, it looks like VGC actually undertracked Xb one for June. Not enough to warrant adjustments, esp since LTD VGC has Xb one overtracked for the USA compared to NPD, so this is actually bringing VGC and NPD closer together. Question will be whether VGC has PS4 over or under tracked.

We also have to recognise the fact that 1 week of the June NPD month is pre-Kinectless, for which Xb one sales were atrocious. So in some respects June is only a 4 week month for Xb one, even though it's officially 5. And PS4 may only win NPD because of that one week of pre-kinectless poor sales.

July is really the first NPD month where Kinectless and PS4 go fully head to head. We haven't had the first week of July NPD month yet, but it looks like, if VGC has been slightly undertracking Xb one since Kinectless, Xb one might sell a few hundred to a thousand more than PS4 during July; at least until TLOU:R week, which will only be a one week spike. I think July NPD will be Xb one's month unless all weeks a realy close and the TLOU:R one week boost puts PS4 slightly ahead.

Seems likely that Kinectless will make Xb one very competetive with PS4 over the long term in the USA. But that's about the sum total of the effect that Kinectless will have in the Xb one vs PS4 race. Even in the UK it seems Kinectless has only had a transitory effect vs PS4.

Where did you see VGC undertrack XBO, its still overtracked as usual as I Understand it and in July it probably will be lower than June. Still it looks that XBO it much better than I expected if it reach 150-160 k in June. Wait until NPD who will be out shortly for correct figures.

They didn't undertrack it. They had it at 183K, and it seems that the actual number is around 160K.

So, still overtracked, but by a much smaller margin. I would say that 10-12% is acceptable.

Oops, I thought I read someone say VGC had Xb one at ~145K for the same time period. Either I mis-read or that person was making shit up and not checking actual VGC data. I normally check the data myself before posting this sort of stuff, and the one time I don't I get mis-lead.

Oh well, back to normal I guess. Of course "more than double" can still mean up to 180K, as long as it's not close to "almost triple" and not "more than PS4" then anything north of 154K is possible. And since triple is over 240K anything under 200K would be called "more than double" and not "almost triple". More than PS4 is also possible, given if NPD leaked Xb one number to MS there is no way they will be giving MS PS4's number early without also telling Sony. So even claiming Xb one didn't beat PS4 is an assumption lacking numerical evidence. There's circumstantial evidence of course with so many the sales rankings of the various online retailers showing PS4 consistently ahead of Xb one.
