This thread is the best laugh I had in a long time lol. For the lack fact checking in the article and the Sony super fans come to damage control in their usually name calling way :P.

Sony fan here. Didn't name call, only performed an experiment. I wanted to know myself. :)

Your not who I was referring too. See the earlier comments on this page to know who I'm talking about ;). I'm also a Sony fan, just not a super fan.

But but, all Sony fans are suppose to be super fans! Please :'(

No.

This was just now found out? Either he's doing something wrong or a very very high amount of PS4 users are using internet.

Its been found out since 2006. AKA since ps3 launched. Its the exact same policy

Ok so what is he doing? Is he on someone else's PS4 trying to access his digital games? Because if that's the case then this shouldn't be blown up at all.

Its easy go to a friends and trying playing your xbox one games without logging in with your profile.

I'm betting the content owner of the PS4 deleted his account and left his games on the console, and this guy can't play it because he's not the original owner. Derp.

Kinda dumb situation if its not his "home" console. DRM has to be there for digital games.

Totally its a fairly small price to pay for having access to your games anywhere, loving playing towerfall in the office, even if we couldnt the one lunch time the wifi on the router broke.

Also something ive not tried on PS4 but it definatly works on xbox, My friend and his son have set each others xbox's as there primary consoles, so if one of them buys a game they can both play online together. So both can currently play Titanfall at the same time just with 1 digital copy. Great if you've got a family member or friend you really trust.

Yes that works on PS4 too.

Its like that on the 360 aswell unless you transfer the licence, but to clear any doubts, my tomb raider ps4 works offline... so, someone is jumping the gun.
