The higher the ping is, the more lag you'll get.
The closest server for Aussie was in Philippines or Malasya, not sure. And it was at 150m/s. Wich is high, you can still play ok with that ping, but it can be laggy.

Well, I'm currently on a 2.6 kd with 107ms... So, they're obviously alright. This is good news for Aussie and New Zealand players.
