Forums - Sony Discussion - Will Gran Turismo shrink on the PS4?

Gamers will be wary. If Sony and Polyphony don't prove/show significant upgrades in the game and fixing all the issues consumers complained about then it will not sell as well. If they come out with all guns blazing, and somehow showing that GT7 will redefine the car simulator genre, then it will sell beautifully. It comes down to how its developed and marketed.

It'll do just as well as GT5, if not better, easily. The PS4 is much easier to program for, so GT7 should arrive next year, 2016 at the latest. It will be helped by the PS4's continued momentum and most likely a price cut for the PS4 in the year of its release.

The only thing Sony NEEDS to do is send over a few programmers from Evolution so they can get a good damage model going. I think that would really help push GT7 to a new level.

GT7 Will be a hit... And this series will continue to be great as long as they make it a single game per generation! There's no need for 2 entries in the same console, it has enough content for the whole gen, it just needs some yearly DLC to keep it fresh... Hope Poliphony would start to develop 1 game for home consoles and 1 game for Vita and something else (a comeback of the Motor Toon Grand Prix would be really cool) for each generation...

The Bitch is back! And better then ever! #BritneyReturns

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!

Nah GT7 will do great on ps4 with a bit of marketing.
It's already close to 1080p60 on ps3, this time all the extra console power can go into making it look better and perform better on a much easier to code for machine.

Its always been 2 GT games per generation. That doesn't need to change. They just need to leave a sufficient gap between releases. Maybe a 4 year gap would be better.

To add a little bit GT5 was the fastest selling GT ever... It was way front loaded than any GT in the history I guess because all the years people needed to wait a new GT game.

GT6 was more in line with what GT games sells at launch even so it sold lower than what I expected and just will reach 8 million at the end of PS3 life.

GT games has always huge legs, but no way in hell GT6 will put 8 millions. I'm even doubting if it will top 6 million...
