Forums - Sales Discussion - US Pre-order chart January 18th. Titanfall has its 8th week for highest pre-order numbers for 8th gen consoles

Once upon a time. There was a company called Bungie. THEY MADE Halo (not the other way round). They left Halo after they realised Microsoft wanted to make it a COD clone. They made DESTINY. They annihiliated Halo and Titanfall. They ruled the FPS genre. They would do so for quite some time.

I don't see how this benefits Sony's camp alone when their games will be bought for Xbox gamers and PS gamers alike. This is what I just don't get. Bungies victories belong to Activision and them alone. Destiny is available for multiple consoles so I have no illusions it will sell great compared to Halo selling on one console. But again, this does not concern your camp, nor mine.

How does this benefit PS gamers? Well it hurts Halo and Titanfall. Seeing Halo be demolished is a rare sight. We will witness it this year.

It is Bungie's DESTINY to do so.

So it's like  FF : Real Reborn, Outlast, MLB 14 : The Show, Daylight, Planetside 2,...  yet, i dont see PS fan praising these games  just because they are not on X1.

Hey, I can't speak for those games because they aren't part of my console. Call it a "cultural difference". They should praise those games, as my camp doesn't get them. My guess Destiny is praised because they think it hurts us since its by Bungie. I couldn't care less ebcause I loved Halo for Halo, not the develoeprs who made it. 343 is composed of many ex-Bungie guys so I couldn;t be happier.

For us, if it isn't on a Sony console, it is worthy of a mention. Simple as that.

Titanfall and Destiny will both be amazing/different games...can't wait to play them both

Same. I feel like Bungie abandoned their fans on Xbox who made them one of the most popular game developers and I know that many other Xbox fans feel the same way. I want to see them regret giving the Playstation exclusive content and early beta access. Nothing would rub that in their faces more than Titanfall on the Xbox One and 360 outselling Destiny on PS4 and PS3. 

 

I hope so, while I am somewhat not an xbox fan anymore, bungie really abandoned xbox fans with destiny 

this on top of signing with activision really makes me want Destiny to fail compared to Titanfall

I am REALLY trying to understamnd you here. I get it that a game on 4 consoles will outsell Halo 5 being on 1. I get that, its just pure mathematics.

What about Halo 5 outselling the PS4 version.......would it still be a Sony camp victory?

Why compare Halo to a 3rd party multiplat? It is like people comparing Halo sales to COD. It ultimately never amounts to anything because COD is 3rd party. It just doesn't fit into the classic Xbox/PS rivalry.

Im sorry, but any sales victory Destiny gets does not amount to anything in the X1/PS4 rivalry. Talk to me when Killzone sells anywhere close to a mainline Halo.

I find it quite ironic how PS and Xbox camps have switched places this gen. Playstation fans last gen were all about the exclusives and didn't care for third party because it was used against them by Xbox fans. LOL at Sales2099 for agruing about Destiny being on X1/X360. All he ever did last gen was call CoD a MS exclusive and that's a fact! Now Xbox fans only seem to want to cram exclusives down everyone's throat because of TitanFall and now downplaying the superior multiplats that are on Playstation. Oh the irony, can't you see you all have switched places and move goal posts for each side whenever you can..

I never really looked into this, but is this really how people feel? Sony getting marketing rights is like COD commercials getting the 360 logo only at the end. Exclusive content? It is like Assassins Creed getting the same treatment, but fans never made a big stink over that. Xbox gets the game just like Sony, so I really dont see the problem.

To me, Bungie messed up with the Halo Reach lore contradicting 10 years of canon allready established.

The reason why this is relevant is because DESTINY is developed by BUNGIE. It's so fitting that Master Chief is to be slain by his creator.

Um no. Never said that. It was on PS, so that kinda disqualifies it. I praise exclusives and Xbox multiplats not on PS. Be quiet, I am talking to big boys here.
